One more week till finals, so it is study time!
I found myself a really nice, quiet and comfortable location where I can study and do my homework in the Transfer Student Center (TSC). I like studying in study rooms because I do not get the distraction of things going on around me – it is just me and my books. For the past two/three weeks, I have been going to the TSC daily to study and when I am early, I get to secure a study room. The library would have been a good place to study as well, but it can get crowded and noisy – so it is hard for me to concentrate and study the way I want to and need to. Study rooms at the library fill up so fast also because a lot of them are given out on a first come, first serve basis. So it is nice to know I can study at TSC.

Generally, I would procrastinate studying, but I have learned that studying early helps me and my grade. I have adopted that policy more and I can definitely see results – so I am happy. At the study rooms at the TSC, if I get too overwhelmed with my studies, I can look out the window and see things happening along ring road – this is the little distraction and breaks I give myself.

With the friendly environment at the TSC, I look forward to going there, knowing that I will see a familiar face and people will remember my name. Also, I can bring my food with me, eat it when I want or store it in the fridge. That way, I already have everything at my disposal such as water, food, coffee, snacks, computers, and a calm/quiet environment. And you know the one thing I would not have? EXCUSES!! So all I can do is STUDY!
